The problem? Their financial reporting process lived in Excel. Each reporting cycle required their financial analyst to manually export data from NetSuite, process it, and transform it into a finished report. That process took approximately a month from start to finish. By the time the reports were ready, the data was already out of date, making it difficult to catch problems before month end and nearly impossible to respond to issues in real time.

The Solution

Live Reporting, Built Right Inside NetSuite

SuiteRep rebuilt Atlas Crane’s financial analysis reports directly in NetSuite using Advanced Dashboards and the platform’s newest drill-down capabilities. The reports refresh nightly and can also be manually refreshed by the user at any time, giving the finance team access to current data whenever they need it.

One of the most valuable additions was multi-level drill-down functionality. Users can start at the top-level project profitability view and drill all the way down to the individual transaction and line level. Embedded hyperlinks in the reports allow them to navigate directly to transactions inside NetSuite without switching systems.

The reports were also built to work within NetSuite’s ARM module, which added meaningful technical complexity to the underlying queries.
