They needed a way to evaluate rep and location performance across a range of real operational KPIs, including quote processing quality, win/loss outcomes, and on-time delivery. But NetSuite’s native quota tools are built around sales dollars, leaving a significant gap.

Without a scalable framework to track these measures, Advanced Packaging was limited to one-off reporting requests, each requiring custom development to answer what should have been routine questions. There was no consistent structure for setting targets, defining what “good” looked like, or surfacing actionable results.

The Solution

SuiteRep built a custom Quota Engine directly within NetSuite, designed from the ground up to support KPI-based performance measurement across both commercial and operational functions. Rather than hardcoding individual KPI reports, the solution gives business users a reusable framework they can configure themselves, without needing developer involvement each time.

The Quota Engine is structured around four connected layers: quota plans with defined date ranges and categories, a metric library that defines exactly what gets measured, assignable targets tied to employees or locations, and grade tier bands that apply score and color logic for intuitive visual grading. A custom Suitelet interface, built as a wizard-style Quota Builder, brings all of this together in a single, guided workflow, making it accessible to administrators without a technical background.

The result is a system that scales with the business. Whether Advanced Packaging wants to evaluate a sales rep’s quote processing habits or measure on-time delivery at a specific warehouse location, the framework is already in place.
