Every NetSuite release brings a long list of updates, and honestly, most of them won’t touch your day to day. But a few changes in the 2026.2 release are worth a quick read, because they’ll either save your team time right away or change how you think about a process down the road. Here’s the short version.
Quick Wins You’ll Feel Right Away
Log in without a password. NetSuite now supports passkeys, so users can skip the password entirely and log in with something like a fingerprint or face scan instead. It’s faster, and it’s one less password for your team to remember or reset.
Fulfill orders straight from the list. Sales orders can now be fulfilled right in the record list, without you needing to open records individually. Small change, but if your team prefers to work with sales order lists instead of using the bulk fulfillment option, it can add up fast.
Bank matching gets a smart assist. When you’re reconciling accounts, NetSuite now provides a convenient Match Suggestions subtab that suggests likely matches for your review. Less digging, less guessing, faster close.
Excel exports finally caught up. Reports and saved searches now export as modern .xlsx files instead of the old .xls format. It’s a small fix, but if you’ve ever had a report open oddly in Excel, this one’s for you.
The Bigger Picture
A few updates in this release point to where NetSuite is headed, and they’re worth keeping on your radar even if you’re not ready to use them yet.
Accounts payable gets real structure. The new Payment Runs feature lets your AP team batch up bills, review everything before it’s paid, and submit it all at once, instead of paying bills one at a time with no formal review step. If your AP process still runs on gut feel and a spreadsheet, this is the upgrade to watch.
Leadership gets better visibility, automatically. Two new CFO reports break down labor costs and labor costs against revenue, both of which come with AI-generated summaries. In addition, new project health indicators flag things like overdue tasks or shrinking margins before they become a bigger problem.
AI is showing up in configuration. If your team uses NetSuite CPQ, there’s now an AI assistant that walks reps through configuring complex products using plain language instead of a maze of dropdowns. It’s an early sign of where a lot of NetSuite is heading.
